Happy New Year.. May 2013 a prosperous year for everyone and lots of family fun creative food.

We will be having at least 100 new product coming throughout 2013. Lots of fun and cute bento boxes and kitchen bento gadgets, including picks, cups, molds, and many many more.

Tis the season. The other day I stumbled upon CreativeIdeas Facebook (there was no link to an actual post) and saw a very creative idea on how to make 3D Christmas tree from a normal boring cucumber and I thought that this should be a great easy way to prepare party meal especially this coming Christmas. (If you do not celebrate Christmas, the cucumber tree salad could also be added to any party or special meals.) I borrowed the concept and made my version of 3D cucumber christmas tree. (^_^)

Hi everyone, have you ever heard of a song called “Gangnam Style” by PSY?  Well, I heard this song the first time about a month ago. My husband shows me the music video on YouTube which is very fun and unique. The rhythm of the song is very catchy. Since the first time I heard it, I think I’ve heard it every single day because my husband loves this song soooooo much. He keeps playing it ALLLLL the time. So this weekend, I surprised him with Gangname style inspired lunch. (Actually it was brunch)  Normally I make easy cute kara-ben (character lunch) which does not take long time to make but I have to say making Psy took longer than normal but it is worth it. He saw it and LOVE it… hehe…

Easy DIY Penguin Rice Ball Shape

1. Put a small scoop of rice (preferable Japanese rice) in a plastic wrap
2. Shape the rice into round shape using the palm of your hand
3. Fold small piece of seaweed in half (about 3 x 3 inches, any size is ok too)
4.  Cut the seaweed using a clean scissors into the shape shown in the top right picture (see below)  (more…)
