Police Car Bento

Police man is made from mashed potato. You can use your hand and finger to harden and mold the mashed potato to the cute shapes you like.(Thicker mashed potato is easier to make cute shape.) While making cute shape rice ball is a little different. To make good shape rice balls, please use a little sticky (usually short or medium grain) rice like Japanese rice (or California rice works great as well). Thai rice is a bit hard to shape up as the texture of the rice itself will not stick to itself easily. The trick is to use plastic wrap (or even easier, use decorative rice mold) to create a shape of a rice ball so the rice will not be sticky to your hands.  Please see how to make duck rice ball in Japanese curry below

For the duck, in order to make seaweed (or nori) to stick to the cheese and the cheese to stick to rice, you may apply a small amount of mayo to hold the cheese and seaweed in to place.
